Kennedy School Meetup with Dean Weinstein and Prof. Rana Mitter

As part of HKS’s increasing focus on the Asia Pacific region, Dean Weinstein and Professor Rana Mitter met with over 37 Harvard alumni at a breakfast meeting at the Fullerton. Dean Weinstein shared his vision about the need to find novel ways to rebuild trust in institutions undergoing a period of stress brought upon by digitally-led cultural changes. Professor Mittar shared his observations that even though cultures around free speech may differ between Australia and China, yet parents in these two countries and likely around the world are cheering the leadership that had the political will to rein in the power of social media titans.

As usual, there was a chance to have a genuine exchange of scholarly opinions and catch up with friends. We hope to see more of our friends soon.
